Bull Shoals-White River State Park

Located in north central Arkansas, the Bull Shoals-White River State Park consists of 663 acres of land stretching along Bull Shoals Lake and the White River. The park offers a variety of opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty of the Ozark Mountains.

Fishing

If you enjoy fishing, then you do not want to miss casting your rod into the White River. This river is known as one of America's premier trout streams. In addition, you can fish for bream, catfish, crappie and lunker bass in Bull Shoals Lake, the largest lake in Arkansas.

Boating and swimming

The large size of Bull Shoals Lake and its crystal clear waters are popular among both swimmers and recreational boaters. You can rent boats, canoes and kayaks at the Bull Shoals-White River State Park full-service marina.

Hiking and camping

With 103 campsites located along the White River, the Bull Shoals-White River State Park is a popular camping destination. These campsites can accommodate both tents and RVs and offer several amenities, including flush-toilets and shower areas. Furthermore, the park features playgrounds, picnic areas, hiking trails and a multi-use trail.

Visitors center

With its spectacular view of Bull Shoals Lake, White River and Bull Shoals Dam, the park's visitor center is its crown jewel. The state-of-the-art visitor center features interpretive exhibits and video presentations that relate the history of the area to the important role that fisheries have played in its development. The visitor center has an area of 15,744 square feet and includes the Johnboat Theater, a lobby, a gift shop and an exhibit hall.
