Activities
Cane Creek State Park has dozens of activities for visitors. Hiking one of the several trails that wind through the park brings nature enthusiasts in droves. With two difficulty levels, everyone anyone can hike these beautiful paths. The longest moderate trail stretches over fourteen miles, but the easier trails are just a few short miles, a much easier trek. Visitors can explore Bayou Bartholomew, the world's longest bayou. The park hosts several fishing contests throughout the year, and the park is open for angling year round, where you can try your hand at catching largemouth bass, catfish, bluegill, bream and crappie. If fishing the bayou and lake do not interest you, the many guided kayak excursions might.
Facilities
You may reserve one of the dozens of campsites ahead of time, and the park also owns an RV available for rent, which has a TV, VCR, air conditioning, CD player and many other amenities. You can reserve one of the several picnicking facilities for a nominal fee for parties or family gatherings. Boats and other marine equipment are for rent too, so anyone can enjoy the aquatic beauty of the park.
Arkansas's grandeur is not limited to the nearby Mississippi River, but spreads into the delta lands throughout the state, including Cane Creek State Park. Fishermen, kayakers, campers or day hikers can delight in the amenities and activities available at Cane Creek.
