Crowley's Ridge State Park

As your family cools off in the swimming lake, you can take the time to catch a fish or two for dinner at Crowley's Ridge State Park. Located in the hills, in the very far northeast corner of Arkansas, Crowley's Ridge State Park offers a 31-acre fishing lake, separate from the 3 1/2-acre swimming lake for convenience and safety. If you are on a romantic couples vacation, Crowley's Ridge offers several different small boat rentals for a relaxing cruise across the lake. Even on the hottest days of the summer, the cross-breeze from the hills and the shade from the trees make it quite enjoyable.
Fishing and swimming
There are camping grounds where you can pitch a tent and camp the "old" way. Several picnic tables and a snack bar were added to this area for your convenience. Have a family of daughters, or a lovely wife that refuses to sleep on the ground? There are several cabins with modern kitchens and bathrooms. There is also a group bunk house with a dining hall and bath house.
Near the swimming lake there is a baseball field where you can watch kids play, while you encourage friendly competition. Also, throughout the park, there are several trails to walk and explore the vast plant and wildlife of Arkansas. Find a shade tree to sit under and read, or watch the local wildlife. The scenery is incredibly relaxing during any season. This vacation is just what you need to get away from "daily living."
