Daisy State Park

Arkansas abounds with spectacular locations for outdoor recreation, and Daisy State Park is among the best of the lot. Nestled against a mammoth man-made lake and the gorgeous Ouachita Mountain, there is plenty to do here.

An emerald jewel

The lush forests of Arkansas are some of the most spectacular in the South, and Daisy State Park is full to bursting with them. They are fed by the magnificent Lake Greeson. This 7,000 acre manmade lake was constructed by the Army Corps of Engineers in 1950 to serve as a fishing lake, so you are assured that anglers from around the South congregate here to cast their lines.

Fishing fun

Lake Greeson is a clear, beautiful fishing spot with abundant numbers of bass, crappie, catfish, bluegill and other fish. Everything you catch here is totally edible and delicious, as the fresh, clean water produces top-quality fish. Note that your catch is limited based on your fishing license, so you may have to knock off early if they are biting too much. You can also fish for trout in several nearby streams.

Other activities

The park has a number of other things to do. A large number of campsites host overnight guests in tents or RVs, and propane facilities are available. Kayaks are rented out to cruise the lake, and a network of trails are open for walking, mountain biking and ATV usage.
