Moro Bay State Park

Moro Bay State Park is a popular fishing and water sport destination. The park is located in Jersey, Arkansas in the southeast region of the state. The park offers camping, cabin rentals, hiking, fishing, boat rentals and picnic sites.

Cabins

In 2009, five new cabins were built in the park. Each cabin has 1,100 square feet and is equipped with a kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a great room. All of the cabins have their own outdoor space, including a screened in area, picnic grill and a table, where you can have a beautiful outdoor meal facing the view of Moro Bay.

Camping

The park has twenty electric campsites. Five of the campsites are class A and have 50 AMP power. The remaining fifteen sites are class B and have only 30 amp power. All of the sites are wheelchair accessible with a woods view.

Marina

At the Moro Park Marina, you can rent fishing boats with motors for a full day or a half day. You can also rent tandem and solo kayaks for a day or half day long kayak trip. They also rent peddle boats by the hour and half hour at the marina.

Trails

The deer run trail is an easy 1/4 mile trail that features the unusual Mayhaw tree. This variety of Hawthorn tree produces a fruit that makes a delicious jelly. The low water trail is a 1/4 mile long and is easy as well. If you are lucky enough to hike this trail when the Ouatchita river is not overflowing (late spring to early fall), you can see some of the largest trees in the state.

Moro Bay State Park is a great family destination. It has something for everyone. The activities, from hiking to birdwatching and from fishing on the shore to peddling the peddle boat around, are available for most of the year but are most enjoyable in the spring and fall.
