The Ozark Folk Center State Park holds celebrations of Arkansas heritage throughout the year. Take a tour of the three Blanchard Springs Caverns or traverse the Ozark Highlands Trail to gain an impressive view of the valley. Handicraft classes are held throughout the day and are perfect for aspiring knitters, potters and metalworkers, and there is an organic garden featuring traditional local herbs, some of which were used by traditional Ozark healers known as "yarb doctors." Throughout the year, the park holds concerts, so visitors can get involved with the toe-tapping spirit of American folk music. After a full day of events, feel free to sample some authentic country cooking at the Skillet Restaurant.
