Poison Spring State Park

Poison Spring State Park, also known as Poison Springs Battleground State Park, is located around 10 miles west of Camden, Arkansas. This is not just a state park; it is also an amazing glimpse into the history of the area, which includes a major Civil War battle.

Battleground

Most people do not immediately think of Arkansas when thinking about the Civil War and its major battles. However, as a border state, it was the site of many hard-fought conflicts. The Battle of Poison Springs was a major battle that mostly centered on the Confederates trying to keep supplies from the Union Army.
